Pallet Wrapping Machine——Automatic Stretch Film Wrapping Equipment
A Pallet Wrapping Machine is an automated packaging system used to secure products loaded on pallets with stretch film. It helps stabilize goods during storage and transportation by applying a consistent wrapping force around the pallet, reducing product movement, damage, and handling risks.
MIC Machinery provides pallet wrapping solutions for different industrial applications, including food and beverage, chemical products, daily chemical goods, manufacturing materials, and warehouse logistics. The equipment is designed according to pallet size, product characteristics, required wrapping speed, and production environment.
Compared with manual pallet wrapping, automatic pallet wrapping machines provide more consistent film tension, improve packaging efficiency, and reduce film consumption. They are commonly installed at the end of production lines after filling, labeling, carton packing, or palletizing processes.

Working Process
The pallet wrapping process begins when a loaded pallet is positioned on the machine platform or enters the wrapping station through a conveyor system.
The operator or automatic system attaches the stretch film to the pallet base. After the start signal is activated, the machine begins the wrapping cycle.
For turntable models, the pallet rotates while the film carriage moves vertically along the pallet height. The machine applies stretch film evenly around the products, creating multiple layers of protection.
For rotary arm models, the pallet remains stationary while the rotating arm moves around it. This design is suitable for unstable, lightweight, or heavy products that should not rotate during wrapping.
The tension control system stretches the film according to preset parameters. Proper film tension ensures that products remain stable while avoiding excessive pressure that could damage packaging.
During the wrapping cycle, the machine automatically adjusts the film position from the bottom to the top of the pallet. Additional wrapping cycles can be added to strengthen specific areas such as the pallet base or upper layers.
After completing the wrapping program, the film is cut and sealed automatically. The finished pallet is then removed manually or transferred automatically to the next process.

The machine can also be connected with palletizers, forklifts, and automatic warehouse systems to improve overall packaging efficiency.
Maintenance and Operation
Regular maintenance is necessary to maintain stable wrapping performance and extend equipment service life.
The film carriage and tension control system should be inspected regularly to ensure smooth film movement and accurate stretching. Film residue should be removed from rollers and mechanical components.
The turntable or rotary arm system should be checked periodically for proper movement and lubrication. Bearings, chains, and transmission parts require regular inspection according to operating conditions.
Sensors should remain clean and correctly positioned because they control pallet detection and machine operation. Dust or product debris may affect detection accuracy.
Electrical components such as PLC controllers, motors, and control panels should be checked regularly. Maintaining proper electrical connections helps prevent unexpected machine stops.
A preventive maintenance schedule reduces downtime and ensures reliable operation in continuous production environments.
FAQ
